Welcome to the Southern California Climate Actions Database
The database was created by the UCLA Program on Local Government Climate Action Policies. The beta version of the database contains the following information for the 189-city Southern California Association of Governments region:
- Climate Action Plans and Sustainability Plans by status (planned, under development, adopted) with links.
- GHG Inventories - which cities have conducted them, and what were their GHG emissions levels?
- GHG Targets - which cities have adopted a GHG reduction target? What is that target?
- Which local governments have updated, or are in the process of updating their general plan to include language on greenhouse gas emissions and climate change?
- A map with the above information
The data is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States License. Anyone may use the data, provided they fully cite the database.
See the Southern California Climate Action Progress Report which describes initial findings.
