This is a really hazardous part of the sidewalk near my house. I commonly walk this way and it's a huge hill. I don't think you can get a good perception of how high the break is, probably at least 2 feet coming out of the sidewalk. It's totally ridiculous that it's just been patched with some asphalt.
En route to the bus
When I walk to the bus, I notice how many corners are missing curb cuts.
Nice that there actually was schedules for the 720 on this bus. A lot of times they don't have any or sometimes it's not on the route you are actually riding on.
Seems when I'm riding the bus first thing in the morning, there's quite a range of ages/demographics. Also, the rapids are kept very clean.
Switching at western
Getting off the bus to get on the subway at Western. These shades are pretty nice and have real-time info. But this is a really popular spot for transfers and people waiting, maybe the stop shade could be larger?
Going down to the subway
I always love the moment of going underground and getting away from traffic.
It's a little annoying when taking the bus and subway because you can only get the day pass when getting to the subway. So it ends up being the same price (paying 4 times) but you have to have the exact change at each boarding. But if you take the bus first, you can only pay for a single fare.
Another iconic part of subway rides for me, the maps. I love how they are always designed very similarly.
At union station
Leaving from the platform, union station is one of the few places where there are lots of boardings. Much of a contrast to western where there are only a few boardings.
