Transportation Alumna Lauren Buckland Finalist in APA Paper Competition

The Section on Transportation Policy and Administration of the American
Society for Public Administration is pleased to announce that Lauren Buckland’s paper (MA ’05), entitled “Balancing Equity and Efficiency
in Transit in Los Angeles” was selected to be one of four finalists out of a pool of 24 diverse and high-quality submissions. The
selection committee was impressed with the overall quality of the research
and writing found in this year’s submissions and enjoyed the opportunity to
see the work of students from around the country. Lauren is currently a Bicycle and Pedestrian Planner at Alta Planning + Design in Berkeley.
